Browser with AI Built-in (Fellou)
This should be really interesting to watch. Fellou has created a browser that has AI capabilities built into it.
Fellou has a long list of use cases it supports but, in general, it is aimed at combining AI with web automation to research, act, and complete tasks across workflows, sourcing, investment research, shopping, compliance, and media. It can find data, interact with websites, schedule meetings, send emails, and even analyze job markets or legal regulations—hands-free.
Fellou today is where Netscape once stood: an early mover in a new paradigm—this time, agentic browsing. It’s redefining what it means to "use" a browser by letting AI act on your behalf, not just retrieve information.
But the same risks apply to Fellou that applied to Netscape, who was eventually decimated by Internet Explorer and Chrome:
- If Fellou remains a standalone tool, it may fall to a Google or Microsoft that integrates agentic functionality into Chrome or Edge natively.
- If it doesn’t rapidly build a trusted ecosystem (APIs, enterprise connectors, workflows), it may be outflanked by players who own both distribution and infrastructure.
- And if it targets too broad a use case set—without dominating a core vertical (e.g., research, compliance, or lending automation)—it may dilute its value before it can scale.
