Good morning you gorgeous people ⭐️
I heard this technique on a podcast at football it’s classed as a conversation starter or a way to help strengthen a connection with someone. My take on it is with the three below you make them feel happy then maybe empathetic then intrigue them.
Shared emotion often breeds connection 🙏🏼
⬆️ Tell them something that’s great about your day, life, achievements depending on context of the convo (business, social, networking etc)
a high point a nice way to start a convo
⬇️Then a low point again maybe think of the context of its business they don’t need to know about love life etc
🦬Then something different about you or your day or situation that will help spark an interest or intrigue them to continue more
So I tried it as the cashier desk in Tesco 🛒
She said hello..🗣
I said…🗣
⬆️how are you today? I’m doing well thanks for asking, just had a lovely dog walk !
⬇️Shame it’s not as sunny at the weekend I was inside all weekend at our annual dance show
🦬But my doggo was very happy to go out today I have to make sure he’s mentally and physically stimulated as he’s used to working lots being an ex police dog
She then continued the convo..
her niece dances and we talked about how it’s great for Childrens confidence…
Then she said she has two spaniels so she knows atleast half of my Dash must be lovely and she uses a dog walker on tues and thurs and she can recommend them if I need help on work days ❤️
It was lovely and I can see she seemed happy that instead of done thanks sometime replied to her and continued the convo.
I think probably a great one for networking event or any instance. You can always tailor it more to business, weddings, social events workshops etc
E.g
⬆️Hi yeh last quarter we exceeded our forecast we think it’s because of the new marketing campaign either way I’m really buzzing 🚀
⬇️ But I need to hire someone to look more into our trends as I’m not getting the feedback I need from my team at present, and I need to shake things up.
🦬 They are amazing with the customers though, we just won at our local awards ceremony and we’re awarded ‘company with the best customer service’
That was my challenge for the day yesterday I haven’t decided todays yet 😃
