12manage.com removing free access due to AI
Last Thursday during my chat with Frank I mentioned about my idea of an AI-assistant for various management tools and frameworks. For example for us to learn about the McKinsey's 7S model and how to apply it for our specific requirements. Actually my reference was the 12Manage.com website which has been my go-to place for decades.
To my surprise yesterday I got an email from them that now they cannot afford to provide the information for free, due to getting overloaded with AI-bot requests on their server. Now they us to pay (I think one time) US$120 to access their information.
This makes me think, would anyone choose to pay in the above particular case?
