UPDATE: Checkout some kids who completed Challenge #1 of BG's 7-Day Joint Health Challenge during our first In-Person Workshop!
Hello Li4ers! Last week, something amazing happened! We hosted the very first Move 4 Life MVMT Skool In-Person Workshop at the Mount Clemens Public Library and it was incredible to see so many young athletes—and their parents—taking the first step toward a healthier, stronger future. We dove into learning about why Joint Health is so important for youth athletes these days. Like....did you know kids under 14 are at a higher risk of joint injuries now more than ever before? ESPN even called them 'ticking time bombs' in a 2019 article featuring Dr. Michael Clark, the Chief Science Advisor of the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Check the article out here: https://www.espn.com/.../these-kids-ticking-bombs-threat... Crazy! As scary as that sounds, the good news is that we've learned that there's a lot that parents and kids can do about it—before injuries happen! If you check out the photos and videos from the Workshop, we kicked things off with a short video from the star of BG’s Joint Health Challenge, a "Baby Goat" named "Billy G. Williams" or "BG" for short. Kids got introduced to BG, the kid-GOAT, on the big screen! They learned about the problem he’s facing that led to the Challenge, his parents won't let him play sports because they read the same articles and they want him to prove he knows how to take care of his body before they let him play!

Welcome! Introduce yourself 🎉
Hi everyone! We're so excited to have you here as part of this amazing group focused on unlocking better joint health, improving performance, and learning what it takes to move for life! Whether you’re just starting BG’s Challenge or gearing up for the next step, this is the place to connect, share, and grow. Here’s what to do first: 🔑 Introduce Yourself! 1. Drop your name (or your child’s name if you’re a parent here on their behalf). 2. Share your favorite sport or what inspired you to join this community. 3. Tell us: Which joint gives you (or your child) the most trouble? 4. If you’re comfortable, share your social media handle so we can cheer each other on both here and online! We’d love to get to know you and why you’re excited to be here. Let’s keep it fun and real—just like a great team does! 🌟 Community Expectations This space is like a school for joint health, so we want everyone to treat it with the same respect you’d give a classroom—or any other important place in your life. Here’s how we’ll make it awesome: 1. Respect everyone. This is a supportive community. Disrespectful or hurtful behavior won’t be tolerated and may lead to removal. 2. Keep personal info private. Share only what you’re comfortable with, and be mindful of others' privacy, too. 3. Share productively. Feedback is welcome, but trolling or negativity for the sake of it? Not here. Let’s keep things positive and helpful. 4. Give and receive. This is a space for sharing wins, insights, and challenges. The more you contribute, the more you’ll get out of it! 5. Take pride in this community. Just like a real-life school or team, this is your space. Let’s keep it clean, respectful, and inspiring for everyone. 🏆 Why We’re Here This community isn’t just about passing quizzes or earning certificates—it’s about building a foundation for lifelong movement and health. We’re all here to support each other on that journey. So, jump in, say hi, and let’s make this the best community we can! Together, we’re stronger, healthier, and unstoppable. 💪
