Accents?🤔🤔

So I'm learning Portuguese and my girlfriend says I should learn the Porto accent which is from north of Portugal. (Because she says it sounds nicer)

So I should start listening and start mimicking them instead of the Lisbon accent which is more common.

I Mean, it's hard enough learning Portuguese, and now I have to put in a bunch of accents in it, like, 😔😔

but this caught me thinking are you guys learning with accents or are you guys just trying to mimic whoever you hear and how they talk,

because lots of accents have different ways to say a word.
