Look, I’ve seen thousands of people start an AI agency in this community. Many struggle, but a few break through and build something incredible.
For a long time, I’ve been analyzing the difference.
What does the top 20% have that the other 80% don't?
It's not a magic tool or a secret niche.
It's that they don't do it alone.
Most people who start an AI business fall into the "solo founder" trap.
They try to be two people at once: the expert marketer who can close a $10k deal, and the master technician who can build a complex AI agent.
Here is the issue…
When you try to be both, you end up being mediocre at each.
Your marketing is inconsistent because you're busy building. Your builds are rushed because you're stressed about finding the next client. You can't scale a business when you're trapped being two full-time employees, and you burn out before you ever taste real success.
The most powerful pattern I've seen among the top agencies is a partnership.
Specifically, the Marketer + Developer duo.
One person is obsessed with growth and selling the vision. The other is obsessed with the technology and turning that vision into a reality.
This requires self-awareness. You have to be brutally honest with yourself: which one are you?
Are you the person who loves talking to businesses and solving their problems from a strategic level? Or are you the person who loves getting your hands dirty with the tools and building the solution?
Know your skill set, own it, and then find your other half.
This is the blueprint for success.
It’s my own story. When I started, I was deep in the tech and documenting my journey on YouTube. I quickly realized the business was growing faster than I could handle alone. So, I called my best friend and mentor, Josh, to help me build the company. The rest is history.
We see this pattern everywhere. Look at Isaiah from the Accelerator, he used his strong relationships in the coaching industry to sell AI appointment setters, while his technical partner handled the builds. He focused on his strength to scale to $25,000 a month.
This is precisely why I built this community.
It wasn't just to give you courses. It was to create an environment. A place where the marketers could find the developers. Where the visionaries could find the builders.
The single most important decision you can make is to surround yourself with people who have the skills you lack.
Your greatest unfair advantage in this space might not be a tool you master, but a person you meet right here in this group.
So look…
Don't just be a consumer in here. Be a participant.
The person who will help you unlock the next level of your agency is in this community.
Go find them.
p.s. In the next few days, I’ll be sharing something I’ve never done before in this community.
Keep an eye out.
