Solve loophole
Hey, my first client has a problem (it is a physiotherapist):
  1. Each employee has their own calendar.
2. Sometimes appointments become available on short notice when patients cancel.
3. The employees then have to contact their other patients in sequence to offer the newly available appointment.
4. The first patient who agrees gets the appointment.
5. When a patient accepts the newly available appointment, a new gap is created at the end of their original appointment sequence, because most of the patients have at least 3 or more pre-planned appointments of their prescription
6. This leads to a potentially endless cycle of appointment shifts.
7. The cycle is further influenced by the fact that employees gain new patients over time and old patients leave the practice (after completing their prescribed units).
So the client often has the problem of unfilled gaps, because patients often stay at their preferred physiotherapist and don't want to change for a single appointment in their series of appointments.
The other problem is that new clients can't take these appointments, because next free spots for more appointments in a row for this therapists usually are then a few weeks later....
Donyou have any ideas to this?
