Is SaaS dead?

Hey all! Something I think about all the time with Claude Code and Codex and other tools like those - is SaaS dead?

Engineering used to take so much skill, time and money that SaaS businesses made so much sense, but now I find myself keep thinking "why would I pay for that when I can easily build this with Claud Code for free??" (minus subscription api costs etc.). With a single subscription I can now build all the SaaS I want.

I am sure that there are still plenty of people unaware of what they can do with AI nowadays, but I can see it in the near future. As someone said before - "There used to be a professions of a storyteller - before people could read or write, there was a storyteller that would teach and tell stories from books. Now no one needs that because we can all do that ourselves. Coding is the next thing. Everyone will be able to code".

Any thoughts?
