How I prepare for an AI audit before I ever meet a potential client
I don’t jump on a call and hope I spot opportunities.
I spend 15 to 30 minutes researching the business first.
Here’s what I look at:
• Their website and customer journey.
• Their social media and how they generate leads.
• Where customers are likely asking the same questions over and over.
• Tasks that probably eat up hours every week.
• Places where AI could increase speed, reduce manual work, or improve the customer experience.
By the time we get on the call, I’m not guessing.
I already have a few ideas worth discussing.
That changes the conversation.
Instead of asking, “What do you need?”
I’m asking, “I noticed this part of your process. Is that creating extra work for your team?”
It shows I’ve done my homework, helps build trust, and makes the call far more productive.
The AI audit starts long before the meeting does.
