MusicLM Engineer - Job Description

Hey AAA Devs:

I'm looking for someone who builds AI music systems.

Not someone who calls APIs.
Not someone who writes research papers.
Someone who has designed and shipped a pipeline from data to training to inference to product.

Silent Era is a music label built with AI as the production engine. We're generating artist-consistent audio content, training vocal models, and building the infrastructure to release music at a pace traditional labels can't match. The role sits at the core of that engine.

This is not:

A data science role.
A research position.
A backend engineering gig.
A prompt engineering job.

This is:

An applied ML systems architect with deep focus on audio and generative AI.

What you'll work on:

Designing and operating the full music generation pipeline.
Data preparation, model training, conditioning, inference optimization, and deployment to production. Not demos. Production.
You'll train and refine vocal models from real audio samples.
You'll iterate fast on quality and catch what the model gets wrong before it goes anywhere near a release.
The product angle matters. A lot.

You need to understand how musicians think and how they use creative tools. What's useful vs. what's just "cool." If you've never thought about a creative workflow from the user's perspective, this isn't the right fit. We're building tools people will actually use to make music, not tech demos.

I need to see two things before anything else:

A vocal cloning example you built. Show me the source audio and what you produced. I want to hear the delta.
A project where you trained or fine-tuned a vocal/audio model. Tell me what data you used, what tools, what infrastructure, and what you were trying to achieve.

No portfolio, no conversation. This is the filter.
