Yesterday Today Tomorrow
Yesterdays we played our own games invented our rules and worked through conflicts independently.
These moments fostered creativity, problem-solving skills, and resilience.
Today we are filled with store bought games, sports, lessons and structured play.
While there are benefits, they leave little room for imaginative play.
Tomorrows we cannot play with strangers, talk to neighbours, or go to the parks.
The freedom to create and explore on our own has been replaced by schedules and supervision.
What has been your experience in these areas?
