What the Founding Generation Can Teach Believers About Sacrifice
Freedom has always come with a cost. The men and women who helped build a nation were willing to give up comfort, security, and even their lives for a future they believed in.
As followers of Christ, we're reminded that the greatest example of sacrifice isn't found in history alone—it's found in Jesus.
"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." — John 15:13
While God may not call us to the same sacrifices as the founding generation, He does call us to daily surrender—putting Him first, serving others, forgiving freely, and living faithfully even when it's difficult.
True faith isn't measured by comfort but by our willingness to trust and obey God, whatever the cost.
What is one area of your life where God is calling you to surrender or sacrifice today?
