New Content in Classroom: Omega-6 and cancer (Tucker Goodrich)
I cut this video from these two Tucker Goodrich episodes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSp8-JMGDs0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eU23swxDT84 The focus of 1) the first video is a study in which seed oils promote the mutation of the P53 Gene - which is directly responsible for cancer: this gene is a tumor suppressor gene, turned off, tumors can start to grow. (About 25 minutes) This is not done by Omega 6 directly, but by one of its metabolites, 4-HNE. This is highly toxic and ongogenic! 2) the second video, starting at minute 25, is the study I alreday mentioned in the classroom: The Ghosh 2004 study. Omega 6 in mice did damage the cardiolipin structure severely, leading to the unability of the mitochondria to metabolize glucose. In the discussion of these gentleman here, they more focus on the implications on heart disease, in which Omega 6 fats also play an important role, as they are the primer that make the LDL susceptible to oxidation in the first place. This is the reason asian countries don't have much heart disease, though eating loads of carbs: They don't (didn't) have much Omega 6 fats to go along with the rice. MUST WATCH if you wanna prevent cancer, want to prevent recurrance and / or want a better cure efficacy :-) 💪👍

Acidic(Carnivore) vs Alkaline(Plants) - PH Perspective Debate
There is always a sub fight within keto, Group 1: They prefer plant based only because they believe low PRAL diet which focus on consuming more base-forming foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and legumes, and reducing intake of acid-forming foods, such as meats, cheese's They strongly believe Acidity increase risk of cancer and goal of these group is to always maintain there body in Alkaline state and also believe they get less glutamine from plants compared to meat but unfortunately they lack other good amino acids due to this reason. Group 2 : They prefer mostly Carnivore and they ignore veggies and fruits , the diet is mostly acidic in nature because of meat and milk products, they hate veggies as they are highly contaminated with pesticides , they also debate that ” PH in acidic is not an issue because our blood PH matters and our body always balances PH to neutral irrespective of any food we eat and Urine PH is waste to considering factor” according to them Since I have started my keto journey even I am cons fused sometimes regarding this PH debates. I would appreciate any opinions or comments from our KRC members

Meals that are working well for you?
So what are you all eating on your eating days, such that you are minimizing omega-6 and maximizing Omega-3, and maintaining and 80/20 or 90/10 or 80/15/5 or 75/15/10 ratio? And maintaining optimal GKI numbers Looking for some sample meal ideas that seem to work well for you. I get inflamed no matter what I eat, and I'm curious to try what has worked for others.

Calories, protein and restriction on long term Keto
Any thoughts on what the max calories per day and max protein per day should be if we are achieving a gki of 2 or less? Also how to accurately measure what ones basal metabolic rate (outside of calories logged on a Garmin or similar) Some books I've read discuss quite low protein when it comes to fighting cancer - 0.5 grams per kilo, tho others recommend double or even triple that amount.
