Hi everyone, this is for those trying to get more fat into their diet without the protein and/or those who love chocolate. I have adapted a hack on “carnivore crack” that I saw on a carnivore page on instagram. If you brown butter for 5 minutes in a pot and freeze it, it tastes like caramel (or salted caramel if you use salted butter). After I freeze it in an ice-cube tray, I top it with my own chocolate (raw cacao butter, cacao liquor, MCT oil and glycerine) but for those who cbf-ed with that can also melt sugar free chocolate and put it on top. Although some of the short-chain fatty acids add endogenous ketones (e.g. from MCT oil) I think the higher amount of animal fat from the butter is sufficient. I had some of this last night before bed and before my gym workout this morning. Usually my glucose increases after a heavy leg day. But to my surprise my GKI is currently 0.9! 😱😱😱 So I think it’s safe in terms of glucose spikes and maintaining ketosis.
P.S don’t mind my drug stack in the background (promise I’m not dealing in the down low) or my dirty nails in the video - making chocolate is a messy process! 😅
