I truly believe that if your childhood left you hurting, the universe sends you a child who reminds you of the person you used to be.
They have your same fire, your big emotions, your sensitive heart.
You’ll watch them struggle in the ways you once did. You’ll see them doubt themselves, feel too much, or be misunderstood.
But this time, you’ll respond with gentleness. With understanding. With the kind of love you always needed.
You’ll say the words you wished someone had said to you. You’ll show up when no one showed up for you. You’ll hold space for their feelings instead of pushing them away.
And by loving them through what once broke you, you’ll start to heal that younger version of yourself too.
You get to break the cycle.
You get to rewrite the story.
And this time, love wins.
