I have been an instructional EA for 6 years now and a private tutor for 3 years in the Alberta and BC Curriculum. I have struggled with the curriculum layout and the lack of joining information. This page will be full of information both free and some paid content. My goal is to give students a chance to truly master a skill before moving onto the next concept. I am building this community to help my current students practice and refine skills and I hope it gets out there and assists all that are struggling with math.
I will start in the Grade 8 curriculum with my videos and pdfs; we will break down algebra, polynomials, fractions and linear equations.
Most math curriculums are scaffolded, they build on each other, but given the time in-between one grade level and another students get lost in the concepts that are supposed to bind them all together.
Here we start with the basics, review the basics, discuss connections and put it all together.
