Speaker Bio
Jon Garstang is an animal welfare educator and trainer passionate about improving animal welfare through education, community engagement, and positive training methods.
He believes that long-term change comes from helping people better understand animal care and strengthening the relationship between educational institutions and animal shelters. His work focuses on making animal welfare more accessible, while also highlighting the wider social benefits of compassionate animal care, including the development of empathy, communication, and other valuable soft skills.
Jon has also developed an education programme and free training app designed to support people who may not otherwise have access to positive, force-free dog training guidance.
