Busy week, better server, and keeping automation simple
Just wrapped up a busy week upgrading to a more powerful server. Had a few hiccups along the way, but it’s now running smooth.
What really saved me time was having Claude handle the heavy lifting automatically. Without it, I would’ve easily spent hours manually transferring files and troubleshooting. That alone made the whole process way less painful.
A lot of people will tell you that you need a bunch of fancy tools, expensive software, and a high-end workflow to get real automation done. I’m here to tell you — it’s not that complicated.
Most of what you see online is either someone pushing affiliate links or showing off *their* way of doing things. You don’t need to drop thousands on a new PC or stack 10 different applications.
I keep it simple and effective:
- **VS Code**
- A few solid API accounts
- And a server so my automation flows can run 24/7 — even while I’m sleeping
That’s it.
If you’re just getting started with automation, don’t overthink it. Start basic, stay consistent, and build from there. A simple setup that actually works is 10x better than a complicated one that breaks every other day.
Who else is running their own automation flows? What’s your current setup? Drop it in the comments — I’d love to hear what’s working for you.
