Teaching a mixology class
Hello fellow bartenders/mixologists!! My wife works for an online company, who regularly holds “happy hour” for their employees to relax, chat, and have a beverage of their choice. I have always offered to make her something new/fun, something classic, a riff or even a WIP. Well, the company has noticed, and now I’ve been offered to teach a “mixology class” for their holiday breakout zoom sessions.
The company has given a per diem of about $50 or so, to purchase tools, spirits and ingredients, which is awesome. My idea is the basics- an OXO shaker because of the cap doubles as a jigger. Then a grocery list of whatever cocktail they sign up for.
I’ve done my fair share of teaching, just not at the level of teaching a group of people who are not in the industry. Has anyone ever done anything like this? any suggestions on an outline?
Or even just a couple fun, beginner level holiday cocktail/mocktails?
Thanks all!!
