God is in Control
I posted this a few weeks ago:
Another pet peeve of mine is how people talk about world events—especially when it comes to Iran.
Everyone wants to argue about whether Trump is good or bad. That misses the bigger point entirely.
Scripture teaches that God is the one who raises up leaders and removes them.
“The Most High rules in the kingdom of men and gives it to whom He will.” (Book of Daniel 4:17)
Trump, Biden, and every president before them were placed in office for a reason—whether they realize it or not.
Most world leaders aren’t saved. Most don’t understand the Bible. Many think history revolves around their own decisions. But Scripture says something very different:
“The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord; He directs it like a watercourse wherever He pleases.” (Book of Proverbs 21:1)
That means the real story isn’t about personalities or political arguments.
It’s about what God is doing in history.
The Bible makes it clear that events surrounding Persia—modern-day Iran—will play a role in the unfolding of world events (Book of Daniel 8:20–23).
So instead of obsessing over whether a leader said something offensive or rude, we should be paying attention to the bigger picture.
God is moving history toward His purposes.
Leaders may think they’re in control.
But Scripture says they’re not.
