Skool states groups are ranked on Discovery by:
- Member growth
- Engagement (posts, comments)
- Member retention (people coming back)
Boosts also come from:
- High-quality artwork & About page
- Interesting niche
- Authentic human engagement from owner/admins
Penalties come from:
- Bots or fake accounts
- Spam or low-quality engagement
- Low-quality artwork or inactive owner
🔍 What the thresholds might look like
While the exact numbers are not published, a helpful blog post suggests a typical “tipping point” where things start moving is around ~240 members, where organic engagement starts happening more naturally.
That suggests your community is likely to be visible and start ranking well once you have hundreds of engaged members, not just one or two.

- Get to maybe ~100-300 engaged members as soon as possible.
- Encourage them to post/comment so your engagement metric grows.
- Avoid spammy tactics (fake accounts or too much self-promotion).
- Keep the owner/admin active: posting, replying, showing momentum.
