π Hebrews 12:11 Devotional πβ¨
βNo discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful.
Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.β
π± The Pain That Produces Peace
Discipline doesnβt feel good while itβs happening.
Correction can sting.
Growth can stretch.
Healing can ache.
But Godβs discipline is not punishment β
π it is preparation.
β³ The Part We Struggle With: βLaterβ
In the moment β it feels painful
In the process β it feels unfair
But this verse reminds us:
β‘οΈ Discipline now
β‘οΈ Peace later
β‘οΈ Training now
β‘οΈ Righteousness later
God is producing something deeper than comfort.
He is producing:
β¨ Character
β¨ Alignment
β¨ Inner Peace
πΎ There Is a Harvest Coming
Not immediatelyβ¦
But eventually.
If you allow yourself to be trained β not just corrected β
God promises:
βοΈ Righteousness
βοΈ Peace
What hurts today may be growing what heals tomorrow.
π¬ Reflection
What if this hard season isnβt here to break youβ¦
but to train you?
π Prayer
God, help me trust Your discipline even when it hurts.
Train my heart so that todayβs pain produces tomorrowβs peace.
Amen.
