Teriyaki Beef Jerky Recipe
Ingredients (yields ~1½ lbs finished jerky)
  • 2 lbs lean beef (top round, flank steak, or sirloin tip — trimmed of all visible fat)
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp mirin (or 2 tbsp rice vinegar + 1 tbsp honey)
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce (optional boost for glossy finish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil (adds depth and aroma)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ tsp fresh ginger, grated (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke (optional, for grill-style flavor)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
