Teriyaki Beef Jerky Recipe
Ingredients (yields ~1½ lbs finished jerky)
2 lbs lean beef (top round, flank steak, or sirloin tip — trimmed of all visible fat)
½ cup soy sauce
¼ cup brown sugar
3 tbsp mirin (or 2 tbsp rice vinegar + 1 tbsp honey)
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp teriyaki sauce (optional boost for glossy finish)
1 tbsp sesame oil (adds depth and aroma)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1½ tsp fresh ginger, grated (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp liquid smoke (optional, for grill-style flavor)
½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a slight kick)
