Hello and welcome!!!
Hello!!! I’m so glad you’re here, if you’re here. I’m new to all of this blog stuff. I really have no clue what I’m doing. All I know is I need something more to fill in my time.
I guess first things first, I need to introduce myself! My name is Jamie, I’m 27. I love to bake and cook, I just recently got into sourdough, there will most likely be lots of tips, tricks, and recipes in the future. I am also a true crime fan, so if you have any true crime podcast recommendations or cases to get lost in the loophole of, drop them in the comments!!!
I got married just over a month ago to my best friend, my better half, the person that makes me strive each day to be a better person. My husband and I have been together for just over two years. Our wedding was so small, our reception was going to work after our courthouse wedding. We literally had two people aside from ourselves at our wedding and the justice of the peace. It was perfect for us.
My husband and I have six dogs, I know; the INSANITY!!!!! It didn’t start out for us to have six dogs.
We originally got our now almost two year old, Patty Lou or when she’s in trouble, her government name if you will, Patricia LouAnne, from a family friend the day we moved to my hometown. She is our little not so angelic child. She is a fetch fanatic. Like if this girl could eat, and sleep fetch, she would. Fetch is life. She got out and got pregnant, and had the cutest five puppies I’ve ever seen. (She’s my child, I have to say everything she does and creates is beautiful and amazing). (And yes I realize I talk about her like she’s a legit child, but I’ve chosen the life of furbaby children). We attempted to find all of her offspring homes, but as each home fell through, we figured maybe it was meant to be that we have six babies.
Patty’s eldest offspring, Paul, or Paul Henry, is our second child. He is slightly outgoing like his mother sister, but still his own “person”. He loves lounging at times, and playing with his youngest brother. He also loves eating weeds, so yay no more lawn mowing haha, if only. He is practically a carbon copy of his canine father.
The second child is Patty’s one and only daughter, Carmella LeighAnne, or as my husband affectionately calls her, Nugget. And if you’re thinking after chicken nuggets, you’d be absolutely correct. His justification for the food based nickname? He saw a post on facebook about rescue dogs having food based names like Beef Stew, Pepperoni, Big Mac, and of course, Chicken Nugget. Carmella loves using the house as a racetrack whenever she has the opportunity, getting into literally every tight spot and needing help getting out, and testing her human mama (me) and all of her four legged siblings, especially her four brothers.
My third, technical grandchild, is Arthur, Arthur Weston. Artie, as we affectionately call him, loves taking naps, he’s the chillest of all six of the dogs in my house. He would be perfectly happy just chilling on the back steps sunbathing and napping. He’s been the easiest dog ever. Arthur and his brother, baby number four, got their names from my husbands favorite show, Peaky Blinders.
Number four, Tommy, or Thomas Michael, was named after the lead character of Peaky Blinders, Thomas Shelby. Tommy is identical to his mama, which for my husband made him an instant keeper when they were born in August 2025. Tommy loves pestering his siblings, and any toy that squeaks.
Last, but certainly not least, my Mick Man, or Mickey Theodore, is my youngest baby. My little baby dinosaur as he usually identifies as a dinosaur from the way he roars at his siblings and he loves to jump up on his back legs, punching air with his front legs looking like a baby trex. It’s truly comical.
Well if you made it this far, thank you so much for your support. I truly appreciate it!
