Promoting new music.
How do you feel about promoting a song of yours that isnt even out, What are your views on this?
Ive seen a lot of artists do this and, I can understand doing it if your release is coming out max 2 weeks after you start promoting it but anything longer like months I feel is a waste of time and you’re losing potential streams/fans.
Personally I’ve started promoting a song a week before it drops but nothing more than that.
Like sure it may build hype for the song but eventually if you just keep promoting something that isnt out people will get tired of waiting, ive even seen on the posts others commenting about how they've lost interest in a song because they just keep promoting something thats not out then, all the artist comment back to them is “will be out soon” or “one day it will be out”
would you stay interested in someone that did this for months on end or would you lose interest too?
