I knew this would get interesting, and on the first day!
Well, I finished the first video in the Classroom "STOCKS FOR BEGINNERS". So if I buy a stock, I can say I'm a business owner, even though it's partial. Cool.
At 2:15 I see the chart showing "Equity", another word for ownership. I think of my house that I "own" because I have no mortgage on it or lien. But since the government can take that property back if I don't pay "property taxes" (a fancy phrase for "rent"), I guess I only have an "Equitable interest" in my house.
Boy, first day in this Community and it's already getting interesting!
