Thoughts on the $250K Legacy Act
Last month I bought one of the $250Ks from Apex during the sale. Mainly so I could practice on WealthCharts at a discount. I like the bigger accounts because they have more flexibility and I think they must fit my personality better because I'm sorry, a couple micros creeping up a few dollars at a time really just isn't getting me too excited lol. With the bigger accounts you about have to trade minis or you'll never get anywhere. So here is my question, and before you come back with, it's up to you, it depends on how much risk your willing to take...blah blah. Is it worth letting it renew? The renewal fee is $88, I had always planned on canceling it before the renewal date. But since I managed to NOT blow it up over the month I'm wondering if I should actually try to pass it lol. With a $16,000 limit to reach it seems a little silly when you could have had several payouts on a $50K by then. But if it WAS a 50K I think I would have blown it up at least twice over the last month. Do you have to have a $16K buffer before you get a payout in a PA? That would be 32K in profits before I reached a payout, but maybe this is what I need to stay focused. IDK hell. I also don't see anywhere that they give you a reset credit after it renews, only if you failed. If any of you guys have used these bigger account please chime in and let me know what you think. @Stephen Gerald Onyia
🔥 FRIDAY REMINDER: KEEP COMING BACK
This week may not have gone exactly how you wanted. Maybe you missed the best setup. Maybe you broke a rule. Maybe you took a loss you shouldn't have taken. Maybe you watched someone else have a great week while you struggled. But here's something I'm learning: Progress isn't perfection. Progress is returning. Returning after the loss. Returning after the mistake. Returning after the emotional trade. Returning after doubt creeps in. Returning after a week that makes you question whether you're actually improving. Because anybody can feel confident when they're winning. The real test comes when quitting starts sounding reasonable. That's where discipline is built. Nobody sees the hours studying charts. Nobody applauds the trades you correctly pass on. Nobody celebrates you closing the platform instead of revenge trading. Nobody knows how many times you've had to confront your own emotions and start again. But those repetitions matter. Repetition builds everything. Every time you follow your rules, you're building the trader you want to become. Every time you take a professional loss instead of forcing another trade, you're building him. Every time you come back to the charts humbled instead of defeated, you're building him. And one thing from the video really hit me: Don't compare your Chapter 1 to somebody else's Chapter 20. Their path isn't yours. Their timing isn't yours. Their struggles aren't yours. Run your race. Some days you'll execute beautifully. Some days you'll barely hold your discipline together. Both days count if you keep learning and keep returning. So as we close another trading week, don't obsess over whether you were perfect. Ask yourself: Did I learn? Did I grow? Am I willing to come back better? If the answer is yes, keep going. One more disciplined decision. One more patient setup. One more week of data. One more opportunity to become better than you were yesterday. And for me, ultimately, my confidence isn't that I'm strong enough to do this alone.
New here and looking forward to connecting
Hey I’m Garret 👋 excited to be here! A little about me… I’m based out of Southern California with my wife and our 4 kids. I came from the fitness industry. Built and grew my business to mid 6 figures for a little over 10 years. It did really well for us and opened a lot of doors, but over time I realized a few things: any time I stepped away for too long, things would go backwards and I’d have to jump back in and work even harder to turn things around, and my kids weren’t gonna take over the business eventually so it would have ended with me. That just wasn’t the freedom I was after nor the legacy I wanted to leave behind. I went back to working a regular job, but about a year in, I got laid off with a bunch of others from a job that I thought was stable. Good news is that led me to a real estate investing firm that I wound up working at for 3 years or so. CoGP’d on my first 114 unit deal in June 2025, formed my own company with two experienced guys, left the company I was working for beginning of 2026, did a couple more deals as a lead sponsor and currently at 423 units. When I’m not hanging out with my family or working on real estate activities, I enjoy being active, backpacking, playing poker, programming, and being around good people. Always open to connecting with growth minded and motivated people!
Algo questions
Anyone know if Take Profit Trader is Algo friendly? Seems interesting with no consistency rule and daily withdraws. I haven’t signed up for the algo yet, for those that have it, can it be more of a set it and let it run? I work an 8-5 job and find it really hard to find time to trade. Does it help pass the eval? I would like to it set with a lower risk tolerance as I wouldn’t be at my computer all the time… $50-100 risk. Am I seeing the algo for $150/month? Thanks!
