Level Up: Making Trading Your Own Thing
Hey all! I hope everyone's having a great week! I recently had my monthly session with one of my Boardroom Accountability Pod. Albeit, a small group, I thought it was a fantastic session, and a lot more traders could benefit from the knowledge drop! We discussed individual trading strategies, particularly emphasizing independence and self-reliance over blindly copying strategies. We covered issues around fear and risk management, highlighted the importance of appropriate risk-reward (RR) ratios, and discussed various technical setups. We also addressed challenges with managing emotions in trading, particularly the fear of losing, and suggested methods to overcome this through structured strategies and backtesting. You can find the recording below: https://us06web.zoom.us/rec/play/avqqMDbfXM2CsvCLRkvmixd-_brF3r2TrJvuEf-dog0MEo5G049xb6iCAS03BBluxuvsO8R3JXQjxV1i.hcHSqhGICMyPiYdG Recently, I've seen a lot more comments about how Apex sucks, they don't pay out, they're a scam and fraud, they "owe us money", etc. If you've sat in one of my Sessions or watched the recordings, you would know that I am a huge proponent of Apex. This is due to my experience with them for the past 2+ years. You also would know that I go over very detailed steps on how to ensure your payout requests get approved. This includes getting your P&L Balance to an amount where taking the max payout will not nuke the account. I don't have a habit of sharing the numerous payouts I've received from Apex, but I'm going to share this one to show you all that Apex DOES pay out skilled and disciplined traders who FOLLOW APEX'S RULES! Per my strategy, I got a few of my 50K PA accounts to a balance of $54631.41. I always follow this self rule because it allows me to take the max 50K account payout, and still have my original $2500 drawdown to rinse and repeat. I submitted the payout request yesterday, and it got approved today.

“I Passed”
Just want to start by saying thanks to Kyle for helping me get started on the this path. I was not doing what I should have been doing for about a month. Last Tuesday I was down to 49K today I passed.

The Witching Process
Hail, champions! Unless you've been living in a cave, you're at least somewhat familiar with The Lord of the Rings—the epic tale of heroes and villains centered around a piece of jewelry: The One Ring. This ring amplifies weaknesses, twists intentions, and brutally reveals the true nature of whoever wields it. The stories of those who wear the Ring, including Frodo, Gollum, Gandalf, Galadriel, and Boromir, are about the same experience: the witching process. A few pass the test, but most fail. Sound familiar yet? In our day trading realm, we are all secretly navigating our own version of that very same process. Everyone who enters day trading starts innocent enough: excited, confident, and hopeful. But it doesn't take long for the ins and outs of the markets to corrupt us, and we often don't realize it until we're already spiraling. And there is where we lose most of our friends and colleagues, disappearing into the "unseen world". What happened here? It turned out that we just weren't prepared for the nearly impossible task of resisting temptation and maintaining emotional control. All of our common flaws (like haste and fear of missing out) seemed only minor, as if we could control and overcome those, no problem. We're all adults, so we all have that strong emotional maturity, right? Well just like Gollum, Boromir, and the nine Ringwraiths learned, we also learned we were mistaken. Only a small handful of people ever realize their weaknesses and pass the ring's test, and the same is true in day trading. My witching process is no different from yours. I began as a confident wizard, but within a month I was blowing EAs with my heart rate skyrocketing each time. I was then passing EAs but blowing PAs, blaming anything and anyone except myself. I considered abandoning the journey several times. But one day along the path, almost suddenly, I ditched most of the bad emotions that consumed my day trading. I gave up greed (I scaled down to 2 micros), the fear of missing out (I stopped brooding over trades I missed), and revenge trading (by forcing myself to log EVERYTHING I do). And then like sunlight breaking through a wall of clouds, I passed the test, just like Galadriel.

Contracts
I just noticed on ES, I have been trading on June, that it says this contract expires on June 20th. Should I switch to trading on September? How does that work?
