The purpose of recalibration is not to abandon your goal, rebuild your entire life, or make a dramatic decision based on a temporary emotion, just the route you're taking. It is to pause, interpret the feedback you are receiving, and make a precise adjustment to your route. Your emotions are information, not instructions. Resistance does not automatically mean something is wrong. It may be intuition communicating genuine misalignment, but it could also be fear, conditioning, emotional reactivity, avoidance, depleted capacity, or the natural discomfort of growth. This protocol will help you tease apart the narrative from the feedback and determine what actually needs to change. Step 1: Complete Yesterday's Lesson Step 2: Start the Recalibration Protocol Identify the Friction Choose one area of your life that repeatedly creates resistance, resentment, exhaustion, avoidance, or instability. Ask yourself: - What keeps happening? - What feels unsustainable? - What am I repeatedly avoiding? - Where am I saying yes when I want to say no? - Where am I forcing myself through a process that isn’t working? - What do I already know but continue to override? Name one specific pattern rather than trying to recalibrate your entire life at once. The pattern I am examining is: Step 3: Separate the Feedback From the Narrative Describe what is happening using only observable facts. Do not interpret it yet. Remove judgments such as: - “I’m lazy.” - “I’m failing.” - “I’m incapable.” - “I can never follow through.” - “Everything is falling apart.” - “This must not be meant for me.” For example: Narrative: “I’m too inconsistent to succeed.”
