Every School Doubted Me But One
After my injury, every scholarship disappeared.
Coaches didn’t think I would play again.
Except one.
Coach Mack Brown called and said something I’ll never forget:
“We recruited you for the man you are, not just the athlete. If you want a scholarship at the University of Texas, it’s still here for you.”
That decision changed everything.
I switched positions, became an All-American offensive tackle, won a national championship, and later played in the NFL.
Sometimes all it takes is one person who believes in the man, not just the talent.
