If your 3 best clients cancelled tomorrow, how long could you keep paying the bills?
A CEO once handed me a contract and said, "Write your own salary."
I wrote a safe number. He signed without reading it.
He would have signed double. I had given away half of what the job was worth.
I'm one of the first Chief Wellness Officers in finance. I've read more than 300 proposals from trainers, nutritionists and coaches.
Almost all of them make my mistake. They ask for less than they're worth, from the wrong person, in words a company doesn't understand.
A company asks three questions before it spends a cent:
Does this make us money?
Does this save us money?
Does this protect us?
Wellness isn't in those columns unless someone puts it there.
Inside Corporate Wellness is the map nobody gave me. Lessons and tools to put your work there, and charge what it's worth.
For now, getting in is free. Take advantage. Or don't.
But if you're good at what you do, a company should be paying you.
