I keep seeing this on LinkedIn literally every, single, day.
If you're new to the platform.
If you're not getting many results yet.
Stop HARD pushing things on people. Doesn't matter if it's in the DMs, in comments, on your posts, this isn't the way to nurture and grow.
I've been building on socials for nearly 10 years. I used to run one of the biggest Discord servers in the Fortnite community back in my gaming days. You don't have to force or push people on anything.
Here's my recs:
- Start with content and value first. Give people a reason to watch your progress.
- If you do any outreach, do it with purpose. Make convos/friends, not a sales script.
- If you're looking to promote something, lightly do it in your CTAs (1-2/week max).
- If you want advice and feedback from others, offer yours to them too (2 way street).
Don't be pushy. Starting accounts do this wayyy too often.
I hope this helps.
