Quietly lay in wait

Victim to slither to
Too fast to tromp
But my heel fights
Stomp but miss
Snakes are below
Can’t even stand
No backbone, surprise
Finding methods for
Your untimely demise
Slither on the hot pavement
Maybe the heat will get you
If not maybe the car
Will crush you, history
