I watched his videos on social media, saved and reposted most of them, now I’m taking this course and learning how to (finally) make real change in my life. (It’s not by reading more books I will think are great but never apply anything from them.) Most mind blowing thing I learned week 1: Observe when you don’t do something you believe you should, then get curious why you made that choice….instead of verbally abusing yourself.

First a confession: I have not done all the books, classes, groups and therapies. This was kind of my maiden venture into "ME stuff" and, in a surpise to no one based on the name - I HATE it. So why am I still here? 1. It changed me. (continues to) 2. knowing other people doing this, at their own pace, in public, without shame or apology with me 3. The people. The support, insight, celebration, engagement and collective dedication to growth. The nicest bunch of haters you'll ever meet.

In just a few short weeks, my life is changing! Nick’s challenges and teachings have opened up true paths to freedom for me. I am seeing the lies I tell myself and now have tools to break the chains that hold me back from living my fullest life. Having the support of people in the group who also struggle with people pleasing and are seeing life change for the first time is encouraging !! I’m grateful that I found this growth community.

Before joining IHYHT, I was soaking up FB reels, like Nick's, reading books, listening to podcasts and retaining information but not putting it all into practice.
