for the heads up with the networking event last night. I've been looking over the last 18 months at building my network and so certainly won't turn down any opportunities like that. Would highly recommend for anyone wishing to meet like minded people, I believe they run them fairly regularly. It felt good to try something different. It was possible to stand to one side and just listen to the talks on stage, but the true value was approaching strangers and just provoking a conversation. Something that pushes you out of your comfort zone but you'd be surprised what one conversation can lead to. The event was meant to finish at 7pm but in the end a group of fifteen of us went and had a meal after and now have a group chat set up where we can organise regular meets.
