I am increasingly observing some significant shifts going on after a couple of weeks:
1) Have gone from barely exercising to walking a minimum of 10,000 steps a day (yesterday I walked over 17,000 steps).
2) Have decided to stop setting health goals such as a certain number of pounds per week (realising that the numbers are just that: numbers, they are simply indications of a direction of travel and are otherwise meaningless) because they don't work for me and instead simply reminding myself that today I only need to take the next healthy step. I only need to make one simple change each day, which could simply include trying a new food or making a minor change to my walking route
3) I made a specific decision concerning food: I am committing myself to the most nutritious food possible even if it costs more - sometimes a lot more when I choose organic produce - because my health must come first. I am putting me first.
I have been listening to the healthy weight tracks every day, almost everywhere, and my subconscious seems to taking note. It has guided me to two new health "apps" (one which tracks steps, fluid intake, etc, and a healthy food chooser that I discovered through a news site and which I had never heard of),
In short, these tracks are supporting my health in many ways beyond just weight. I am committed not to lose weight but to live an increasingly healthy live.
