Poetry to Philosophy
Find a poem, dissect it and create a more natural and philosophical meaning from it.
Ex: Rumi “there is a field between right and wrong; I will, meet you there”
Brett “there is a space within; where action and non-action exists, I will meet with you there”
Right and wrong are human constructs formed through thought and science, not natural occurrences. Framing existence as positive versus negative removes a third possibility essential to questioning and understanding. The word between implies division and bias, introducing negativity before choice. My reinterpretation shifts the space inward—where action and non-action coexist—allowing clearer perception of what I believe Rumi intended: a transcendence of judgment rather than opposition.
