Neakasa M1 automatic litter box review
I recently bought the Neakasa M1 Automatic Litter Box, and honestly, I can’t believe I didn’t get this sooner! As someone with multiple cats (one who’s super picky about litter boxes and another who’s a bit of a wild card with how they use them), I’ve tried so many options over the years. Most of them either didn’t work, were impossible to clean, or just plain stunk—literally and figuratively. This one? Total game changer.

First off, the design is perfect for bigger cats or those that do weird acrobatics while doing their business. It’s spacious, open, and doesn’t feel cramped for them, which I think makes a huge difference. The cleaning system is super efficient, and I love that it keeps the smell under control (finally, a fresh-smelling room even with Sphynx cats who, let’s be real, can clear out a house). You still have to empty the waste drawer every week or so, but that’s easy and takes like two minutes.
The app that comes with it is a nice bonus—it tracks usage and even works seamlessly without any glitches so far. Plus, it’s surprisingly quiet during its cleaning cycles, which means the cats aren’t scared off like they were with other self-cleaning options I’ve tried. Even someone with six cats mentioned they’ve had a great experience, and I can totally see why!
If you’re a cat owner who’s been burned by disappointing litter boxes before, this one might actually restore your faith. It’s not magic—you’ll still need to do some upkeep—but it’s about as close as it gets. Highly recommend!
