Saturday Devotional: Weathering the Seasons
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1
Hey HolyFit fam,
I missed posting yesterday’s devotional — life got busy, and that’s on me. But maybe that’s part of the reminder today: life moves in seasons. Some are bright and easy; others feel long, cold, and demanding.
Here in Iowa, we’re about to get our first taste of snow and real cold. The trails will freeze, the wind will sting, and that familiar comfort of warm weather running will fade fast. But just like in faith — growth still happens in the hard seasons. The roots go deeper when conditions get tougher.
Running in the cold takes preparation and grit, just like walking with God through a storm. You bundle up, you press on, and you trust that the season won’t last forever. Spring always comes. The warmth always returns.
So whether your season right now feels frozen or full of life, stay steady. God is still working, still teaching, still leading you — one faithful step at a time.
🕊️ Reflection:
Lord, thank You for every season — the easy ones and the hard ones. Help me to trust You in the cold and the quiet, knowing that You’re preparing something new beneath the surface.
