Cleavers Syrup
A cooling and cleansing tonic from Holisticary ̶ Where Earth Meets Essence™
Ingredients
• 2 cups fresh cleavers (Galium aparine), chopped
• 2 cups water
• 1 cup raw honey (or organic cane sugar)
• 1 slice fresh lemon or 1 tsp lemon juice
• Optional: small piece of ginger or ½ tsp dried nettle
Instructions
1. Harvest & Prepare ̶ Use young, bright cleavers. Rinse and chop.
2. Infuse ̶ Add cleavers to water and bring to a gentle simmer. Reduce heat and simmer for 15‒20
minutes.
3. Steep ̶ Remove from heat, cover, and steep for 30‒45 minutes.
4. Strain ̶ Strain through cheesecloth or fine mesh, pressing herbs gently.
5. Sweeten ̶ Add honey (do not boil) and stir until dissolved.
6. Bottle ̶ Pour into a sterilized jar or bottle. Refrigerate up to 1 month.
Dosage & Use
• 1 tsp daily as a lymph tonic
• Mix into warm water or tea
• Drizzle over yogurt, fruit, or smoothies
