Set up your next cage session like this:
Before each round, call a count. 0-0. 1-2. 3-1. Whatever.
Now your player has to think like a hitter, not just swing like one.
0-0 → look for your pitch, don't chase1-2 → protect the plate, stay alive3-1 → hitter's count, attack the zone
Same cage. Same machine. Completely different mental reps.
Most players practice swinging. This practices deciding — which is actually what games test.
Run 3 rounds. One count per round. Watch how different it feels.
