Most kids get coached on their swing.
Almost none get coached on their eyes.
Here's a free drill that takes zero extra equipment:
Next time your player faces live pitching or a machine, have them call out the pitch location aloud the instant they recognize it, before they even start their swing.
"Up." "Away." "Down." Whatever they see.
If they can't call it out loud, they're not actually seeing it; they're guessing and reacting late.
This drill exposes the real issue fast: most hitters aren't behind on bat speed. They're behind on recognition.
Fix the eyes, and the swing usually follows.
Try it for one round today. See how fast they can call it.
Want me to set up a rotating content bank, so you're not starting from scratch each day, covering eyes, decision-making, mental game, and mechanics on a cycle?
