This past Sabbath looked a little different…
and honestly, it was exactly what my spirit needed.
I stayed home.
No rush.
No noise.
No performance.
Just me, God, and the quiet work that centres me.
I went out to the coop, cleared out the old bedding, laid down fresh hay, and covered part of the run with a tarp so my girls could have a warm, comfortable space for the cooler days ahead.
It sounds simple… but it was deeply spiritual.
There’s something about tending to the things God has entrusted to you —
your home, your animals, your peace —
that brings you back into alignment.
Sabbath isn’t always about being in a building.
Sometimes it’s about being still enough to hear God in the everyday tasks.
In the soft moments.
In the care.
In the reset.
I left that coop feeling lighter.
More grounded.
More grateful.
May we all learn to recognise the holy moments hidden in ordinary work.
And may God continue to bless the spaces we steward, inside and out. ✨💛
