Did you watch Breaking Bad? I am rewatching it now after 12 years. It is hitting so differently to me. I wanted to bring up a few points regarding relationship dynamics in this series, which I think is so well thought out, and well made. > How destructive was this relationship dynamic, between Walter and Jesse? > Did you see how many lies and manipulations Walter says and does, to keep a fake sense of belonging to family and friends… therefore, this distorted idea of what is family, friendship, partnership… and what is worthy to do to have this. > The hypocrisy of Walter in so many actions… how he justifies the absurd things he does for the sake of self-interest? > How Walter dragged his wife, Skyler, into family hell, by saying he loved her so much… > How complicated everything was for the wife, Skyler, regarding maintaining the family image in her son’s mind. > Not to mention how he hurt Jesse behind his back in so many ways. And Jesse was no innocent guy either. And so on… What to you think about this series and the development of those characters?
