Write It Off
As we’re cleanin’ out, organizing, and makin’ room for what’s next, don’t forget that some of the things we no longer need may be able to bless somebody else. 💛
Gently used clothing and household items can be donated to qualified charitable organizations such as Goodwill, The Salvation Army, local shelters, and other eligible nonprofits.
Depending on your tax situation and whether IRS requirements are met, those donations may also qualify for a charitable deduction. Keep your receipts, make a simple list of what you donated, and record a reasonable fair-market value for your items.
Sometimes clearing out isn’t just about getting rid of stuff. It can be an opportunity to help someone else while becoming more intentional with what we have.
Declutter with purpose. Give with purpose. Move forward with purpose. 🙌
Always check current IRS guidelines or speak with a tax professional for your individual situation.
