Two financial methods for paying off debt
As we work on moving forward financially, I wanted to share two common debt payoff methods that can help us become more intentional with how we tackle high debt.
The Debt Avalanche Method focuses on paying off the highest-interest debt first, which can save the most money over time.
The Debt Snowball Method focuses on paying off the smallest balance first, helping build momentum and motivation as debts are eliminated one by one.
Neither method is automatically “better” for everyone. The best method is the one you can stay consistent with.
Financial freedom isn’t just about numbers. It’s also about discipline, habits, and choosing a strategy you can actually follow through with.
