💜 Welcome to Day 36 — The Real Reason You’re Afraid to Set Big Goals
The real reason you're afraid to set big goals.
This one's designed to strike at the heart of what's really stopping you from stepping into your millionaire future and give you. Concrete steps to break free.
So today, I'm just going to rip the band-aid off because until you face this truth you'll keep setting small, safe goals. That don't move the needle on your dreams, like, seriously we really want to get you moving. It's the only way that you're gonna get to that point.
So, here's what most people won't admit.
It's not the work, the plan. All the time commitment that stops you from setting big goals. It's the emotional risk.
The fear of disappointment if it doesn't work out, the fear of judgment of others really, um…. You know, I stopped… I stopped…. Taking into consideration what others think many years ago, and I tell you what, it lifts a whole new state of how you feel about yourself when you go to put a video out there. Or to do anything, really, or to set those goals.
And so, you know the fear of judgment if others see you fail is not something you need to fear any longer, or even worse, you might think that you're… you know, they could even think you're arrogant for aiming so high. But who cares what other people think? We have to stop allowing ourselves to sit in that space.
And the quiet gnawing of fear of unworthiness, whispering in your ear.
Who do you think you are to want that?
Does that hit home with any of you?
Because I know years ago, that was exactly how I felt.
And these fears are so sneaky, so ingrained, that they keep you playing small without you even realising it. You may say, I've stopped playing small, I'm gonna open up and step up.
But… it doesn't always work that way. These ingrained fears that we have they tell you it's practical or realistic to shrink your dreams.
To get back into your comfort zone. But really, they're just protecting you from feeling things that you, um, think you can't handle.
But let me give you a powerful truth.
Big goals don't cause pain. It's the meaning of what you attach to that goal and, you know, not hitting them that actually creates the pain.
What if missing the goal wasn't a sign of failure?
What if it was more a sign that you had the courage to stretch beyond your comfort zone.
What if the real strategy… the real tragedy isn't falling short at never daring to try.
Your action prompt today, I want you to dig really deep. Deeper than ever. And write down the worst case scenario uh, you fear if you set a big goal. And it's a big, audacious goal, and you don't reach it. I mean, seriously, what's the worst thing that can happen? You didn't reach it.
Set it for the next 90 days, and make sure you step up the actions that you're taking to make it happen. What exactly. You know, that's why I asked, what exactly are you afraid will happen? How would you handle it? Learn from it, and keep going forward.
What didn't you do that you could have done. That stopped you from achieving it. Because when you see that you can survive, when you…. Um, see that it's not just surviving, it's thriving.
No matter the outcome, fear loses its grip. It can't stay holding itself to you forever and you become free to set goals big enough. To change not just your life, but the lives of others. So don't let old fears right your future. You'll want to dream beyond what feels safe.
Today, you choose courage over comfort. Today, you set goals that match the power of your millionaire soul, mind, body, and soul. And explore the hidden fears of disappointment, judgment, or unworthiness that keep you playing small. Today's practice is to unearth and write out your worst-case fears and how you'd handle them. And share with us in the community what they are.
