What does healing really mean?
So many people talk about healing like it's as simple as throwing together dinner. But here's what I've come to understand: healing doesn't run on anyone else's timeline. It might take a month. It might take a year. It could take a decade. The truth is, it depends entirely on how deep those wounds go and how much work someone is willing to put in—work to untangle the trauma, or traumas, that keep them from living out what their heart truly desires.
When did you first realize that healing wasn't going to look like what everyone told you it would?
