God Encompasses Everything
When a person looks carefully, he clearly sees the infinite power and wisdom of God in every area—from daily life to professional life, from social relations to the magnificent order of the universe. It can easily be understood that every detail, from the greatest to the smallest, occurs within an order under the control of Almighty God. This perspective enables a person to recognize God, to increase his closeness to God, to strengthen his spiritual depth, and to mature his faith. For faith deepens through attentiveness, contemplation, and clarity of consciousness. Our Almighty Lord repeatedly calls His servants in the Qur’an to be heedful. Because heedlessness conceals the truth. Our Lord states:
“Everything in the heavens and the earth belongs to God. He knows what you are engaged upon...” (Surat An-Nur, 64)
As emphasized in the verse, no moment of a person and no state of his occurs outside the knowledge of God. When a person lives with this awareness, he understands that none of the events he encounters in his life occur by coincidence, and that every detail takes place under the control of God and by His permission.
