This is year 4 after inoculation in 2022.
Shiitake usually flush from year 1 or 2 and then can flush a maximum of 8years which is incredible for a one time job and then wait.
The logs I used in this video is alder but I tend to use oak, alder or hornbeam. Beech and birch can also be used. but yet to try myself.
